Environmental Event

The Life Sciences Department at Amjad School, under the dedicated supervision and guidance of Department Coordinator Mrs. Sanaa Houmani, organized a distinguished environmental event for Grade 6 students entitled “Echo of the Sixth: Ambassadors of the Earth.”

The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility toward protecting Lebanon while introducing students to the Sustainable Development Goals through hands-on learning and real-world experiences.

Highlights of the event included a student project competition, where participants presented innovative posters and models addressing key environmental challenges in Lebanon and proposing practical solutions linked to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Students also took part in an interactive podcast session featuring environmental activist Mr. Ziad Abi Chaker, founder of the pioneering Cedar Environmental initiative in Lebanon. Through this engaging discussion, students gained valuable insights into sustainability and the transformation of waste into useful resources.

Following a thorough evaluation by the judging committee, three teams were recognized for their outstanding projects:

First Place: Naya Dandash, Nour Farhat, Tala Ghamloush, and Serena Makawi.
Second Place: Mohammad Al Arab, Yara Al Derzi, Ahmad Al Khatib, and Adam Chahrour.
Third Place: Hussein Brou, Elina Al Masri, Siraj Ibrahim, and Lauren Al Masri.

Amjad School extends its sincere appreciation to the Life Sciences Department and its coordinator, with special thanks to science teachers Zeinab Maatouk, Razan Hammoud, and Sarah Fayyad for their dedication and support.

Special gratitude is also extended to Activities Coordinator Mr. Fouad Bakkar and the student organizing team for their excellent planning and organization, which contributed greatly to the success of this meaningful event.
